Refund and Returns Policy

At The Consignment Boutique, operated by Natiglow Media LLC, we are committed to a transparent and fair shopping experience. This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made online and in-store at our Pittsburgh, PA location. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.
1. Order Cancellation
We begin processing orders promptly to ensure fast delivery. If you need to cancel an order, please review the following terms:
- Cancellation Window: Orders may be cancelled without penalty within 24 hours of the time of purchase.
- How to Cancel: Contact us immediately by email at support@theconsignmentboutique.com or by phone at +1 (412) 822-8400. Please have your order number ready.
- After 24 Hours: Once the 24-hour cancellation window has passed, your order will have entered fulfillment and can no longer be cancelled. In that case, please wait to receive the item and then initiate a return under Section 2 below.
2. Return Eligibility
We accept returns on eligible items subject to the conditions described in this section.
Return Window: Return requests must be initiated within 14 calendar days of the delivery date (for online orders) or the date of purchase (for in-store purchases). Requests submitted after this window will not be accepted.
Eligible Reasons for Return
- Wrong Size Shipped: The item received does not match the size you selected at checkout.
- Wrong Item Shipped: You received a product that is different from what you ordered.
- Item Arrived Damaged or Defective: The item has visible damage, manufacturing defects, misprints, or seam issues that were not disclosed in the product listing.
- General / Change-of-Mind Returns: We accept returns for unworn, unwashed items in original condition within the 14-day window. Please note that certain accessories (including jewelry and intimate apparel) are final sale for hygiene reasons and are not eligible for return.
Return Conditions
To be accepted for a return, all items must meet the following requirements:

Items that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender at their expense.
3. How to Initiate a Return
Please follow these steps to start a return:
- Contact our support team within 14 calendar days of delivery or purchase (see contact details in Section 7).
- Provide your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
- Our team will review your request and respond within 1–2 business days with instructions and, where applicable, a prepaid return shipping label.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging with all tags attached and include your proof of purchase.
- Ship the item to the return address below and retain your tracking number.

4. Return Shipping Costs
Who pays for return shipping depends on the reason for the return:
- Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items: If the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, item arrived damaged or defective), The Consignment Boutique will cover all return shipping costs. We will email you a prepaid return shipping label.
- Change-of-Mind or General Returns: If you are returning an item due to a change of mind, fit issue, or any reason other than our error, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
5. Refund Processing
Once we receive your returned item, we will process your refund as follows:
- Inspection Period: Please allow 1–5 business days after we receive your return for our team to inspect the item and confirm eligibility.
- Refund Approval: If the return is approved, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout. For in-store cash purchases, a store credit or alternative electronic refund will be arranged.
- Refund Timeline: After we issue the refund, please allow an additional 3–7 business days for the funds to appear in your account. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.
- Rejected Returns: If a returned item does not meet our return conditions upon inspection, we will notify you by email. The item will be returned to you at your expense and no refund will be issued.
6. Exchanges
Due to our constantly rotating consignment inventory, we are unable to guarantee the availability of a specific size or style for a traditional exchange. If you need a different size or style, we recommend:
- Returning the original item for a refund (subject to the conditions above).
- Placing a new order for the desired item.
In the event of a confirmed manufacturer defect or shipping error on our part, we will:
- Ship a replacement item at no additional cost to you, if the same item is available in stock.
- Issue a full refund immediately if the replacement item is out of stock.
7. Consignment Items & Pre-Owned Goods
As a consignment boutique, many of our items are gently used, pre-owned, or vintage. Please be aware of the following:
- Pre-owned and vintage items may show minor signs of previous use, age, or wear. These characteristics are inherent to the nature of consignment goods and are not considered defects unless they are materially inconsistent with the item’s description or photographs on our website.
- We encourage all customers to read product descriptions and review all provided photos carefully before purchasing pre-owned or vintage items.
- If you believe an item was materially misrepresented in its listing, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will review your case.
8. Final Sale Items
The following categories are final sale and are not eligible for return or refund unless the item arrives damaged or is materially different from its description:
- Jewelry and hair accessories
- Intimates and swimwear
- Items marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” on the product listing
